Online PR Lessons on Linking from Steve Rubel

Here’s lesson number one, which came from Steve Rubel…I’m paraphrasing….
Marketing and PR people are always so worried about sending people away from their sites. They work so hard to get people to go to their sites and once they’ve got them they try to trap them. But that’s the wrong idea. Send people away. You want people to view your blog as a resource. Send them away to interesting places and they’ll keep coming back. Google built their business by sending people away.
