Using Tags to Monitor Online Conversations

BusinessWeek Online has a great story about how business are using tagging tools like del.icio.us to monitor online buzz.

I am just starting to get familiar with tagging, but I wish I had gotten up to speed on it quicker. This would have been a great resource for attendees of the full day blogs, RSS, wikis and podcasting seminar in NY and SF that I just finished moderating for PR University because we went through a lot of web sites and people asked for a list of them after we were done, and we had to go back and prepare one from memory.

Next time I’ll set up tags and just add the websites we visit to them as we go, so people can come back and get them later.
