Apparently, no one told US Open finalist Mary Pierce not to pick her nose and then roll her findings between her thumb and forefinger during the trophy presentation ceremony.
And you can’t blame it entirely on the CBS technical director calling cameras in the truck. Let’s face it, it’s obvious CBS doesn’t like her, introducing her as “A citizen of Canada, who lives and trains in Florida and plays for France” which, of course, she is. But even after Dick Enenberg gave her the floor, she kept right on picking her nose, even as she spoke into the microphone.
Congratulations Clijsters. I had a hunch you were going to take it this year.
