LOS ANGELES -- Feb. 13, 2008 – Let the search begin for L.A.’s first ever Nanny of the Year, to be crowned at Baby Celebration LA, an annual celebration of babies and toddlers which offers the largest collection of boutique, hard-to-find, luxury products and services to expectant moms and new parents at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in the South Hall – Hall K on April 12-13, 2008. 

The contest is sponsored by, a service which helps parents monitor how their Nannies care for their children, much in the way fleet operators monitor their drivers.

Baby Celebration LA will begin accepting entries today on their website, and will announce the top three nannies of the year on April 12 at 11:30 A.M. at Baby Celebration LA.

“This is a chance for people to honor their very own exceptional nanny and tell the world what sets her apart,” said Penny Domschot, the co-producer of Baby Celebration LA. “Parents can take this opportunity to recognize and give credit for the wonderful contributions these caregivers make to their families.”

Applications for L.A.’s Nanny of the Year contest are due by March 15, and nanny interviews will be held the week of March 31, 2008. 

The winning nanny will be awarded a luxury spa day, a delectable assortment of lavish prizes, national recognition as L.A.’s Nanny of the Year in Pregnancy Magazine, an International Nanny Association membership, and more.  L.A.’s Nanny of the Year nominating mom will win a stylish and elaborately tricked out stroller from Baby Bling with extravagant accessories like iPod integration, chic lighting and Swarovski Crystal trim, and custom-made photo necklaces by TJ & Co., as well as a delicious gift certificate from Dream Dinners. Nanny contest runners up will win a gift basket of luscious treats and a Heritage Makers bound custom storybook and month long premiere membership.  First and second runner up moms will win a custom Heritage Makers bound storybook with a month long membership and a delicious gift certificate to Dream Dinner.

Nannies will be judged on a wide range of qualities including compassion, patience, dedication and commitment to overall performance. Contest judges will include the president of the International Nanny Association, the founder of All About Nanny Care and the founder of
